A Knight to Remember

The 3rd Annual Chesterton Academy of St. George Gala:

In Review

It has been almost a week since the conclusion of our 3rd annual Knight to Remember Gala and we are still in awe of the incredible evening that it shaped up to be.

Fr. Peter Clark leads the opening prayer

On the evening of Saturday, March 22nd, nearly 300 people gathered to hear what we have been doing and what our vision is for the future of this educational apostolate. We were aiming high and putting our faith in God to provide through the people that he brought to us. Our goal for the evening: to share our vision for the Chesterton Academy of St. George and to raise $200,000 to help us in bringing that vision to life.

Our Headmaster, Mr. Matthew Anderson, delivered a talk focused on the state of the academy, sharing where we have gone since last year’s gala, and illustrating where we hope to go in the years to come.

Looking to the future, he revealed plans to hire new teachers to accommodate record growth in enrollment, the further development and refurbishing of our facility, the funding of a scholarship fund, and the expansion/improvement of our drama and athletic programs.

Next, our students performed two choir pieces before students, Tiffany and Sophia, gave testimonies, sharing their experience here at the Academy. Finally one of our supporters, Dr. Mark Iocca, addressed the crowd to share why he got involved with the academy and why he believes it is so important to support the work of our school.

As the final part of the evening, Mr. Dale Ahlquist delivered a keynote address titled, “The Chesterton Difference, and the Chesterton Sameness”.

His talk, which balanced truth and beauty with humor, described what sets a Chesterton Academy apart from any other education option available: A culture of joy, well rounded students, and the formation of kids into virtuous adults who seek out God’s call for their lives.

As the program came to a close we were blessed to be able to ask those in attendance to join us in this work for Christ. Through the grace of the Holy Spirit, our attendees had the opportunity to help accelerate our work.

We are very excited to announce that thanks to the mercy of Our Lord and the participation of our community with His grade, we did reach our goal by raising $206,000 for our school!

Thank you to everyone who attended the gala for your incredible generosity! We could not continue in this work if it were not for the support of our community.

If you were unable to attend the gala, but would like to support the academy, you can still give to the Gala Fund Here!

We want to give a special thanks to our Charity Partners who made this event possible
